Why we like it at Happy Little Tadpole:
Lincoln logs bring back really fond memories. Who else remembers playing with these as a kid? This is a great toy for kids, and also for kids to play with parents or siblings. Lincoln logs encourages pretend play while improving cognitive skills, gross motor functions, and creativity, as kids come up with endless new ways to build their logs up and create new scenes resulting in hours and hours of play. This is what gives this toy set such a long lifespan.
Fun Toy Fact:Â Lincoln Logs were invented in 1916-1917 by John Lloyd Wright, son of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The toy set was inspired by the Imperial Hotel his father was designing in Toyko, which had interlocking wood beams in the foundation of the building.Â
