Why we like it at Happy Little Tadpole:
I found Strange Trees in a trip to Powell’s Book Store in Portland OR recently and I was instantly intrigued. The stunning artwork and interesting subject matter drew me to it. When I opened the book to scan its pages, I remained impressed and did not set the book back down again. Not only is it beautiful, but the information shared about each tree is engaging and imaginative, whilst still informative. It would be fun to buy this book for a little one, and then plant an unusual tree with them, which would be a memorable book and experience for a little one. Note that the vocabulary in the book is advanced, making it a great book to be read aloud to children while simultaneously broadening their vocabulary. – Sarah, from Happy Little Tadpole
