This Little Trailblazer: A Girl Power Primer is an adorable board book that introduces children to 10 inspirational women. Each woman is featured on a two-page spread with two images, and 3-4 rhyming sentences full of just enough information to get the gist of what incredible thing the little trailblazer did. The final pages include a peek into even more admirable ladies (different than the 10 features women). It contains a total of 26 pages.

This Little Trailblazer: A Girl Power Primer includes brightly colored illustrations that pop, and also have a style that almost looks airbrushed, making the images look more 3-dimensional. The information is more robust than other feminist board books, while not getting too detailed, just enough to hold a young child’s attention and hopefully grasp some information about these wonderful women featured on its pages.
