Why we like it at Happy Little Tadpole:
This set by Tegu is our favorite beginner set. The eight pieces included enabling children to make a ton of different figures and shapes, while still being portable and an easy and immersive on-the-go travel toy for little ones. We love the fun colors the set is available in, and the felt pouch that makes the set perfect to bring on the go to restaurants, doctors visits, the park, and anywhere else, really.
A note about Tegu sets: We recommend the smaller sets from this company only. After ready many reviews and playing with the larger sets, we believe that the smaller pieces are better, since the larger the pieces get, the less magnetic areas are found in each block, making construction harder and less open-ended. This is why we recommend smaller sets like this one instead of their set with larger pieces.
